Our Story
Liz Jonasson, a longstanding resident of Burlington, Ontario, established Absolute Home Services in September 2012. Liz's journey as the proprietor of Absolute Home Services began at the age of 16, when she spent her summers working for College Pro Painters near her family cottage in Muskoka, Northern Ontario. During her university years, she ventured into entrepreneurship by launching her own College Pro franchise, specializing in both interior and exterior house painting.
Despite earning a degree in Civil Engineering, Liz remained dedicated to her College Pro franchise, turning it into a genuine passion. She transitioned to a full-time role at College Pro for Northern Ontario, where she took charge of recruiting, training, and leading a team of 25 students in the painting business. Over time, she ascended to the position of Vice President of Ontario. After 17 years with College Pro, Liz decided to embark on a new chapter, joining Paul Davis Systems as the Operations Manager.
During her tenure at Paul Davis, a restoration company dealing with home and business damage caused by fire, wind, and water, Liz effectively managed a team of 25 emergency technicians who responded to these challenging situations.
Drawing from her experiences at College Pro and Paul Davis, Liz identified a market opportunity that she envisioned as a comprehensive home services solution. This encompassed a range of offerings, including home improvement, repair, and maintenance, all centered around genuine customer service.
In 2012, Liz initiated the launch of Absolute Home Services in Burlington, initially focusing on painting. However, she held a broader vision for the company. Expanding on the success of the painting business, Liz introduced Lawn and Garden Maintenance services in 2013. Responding to client demands, Handyman Services were later incorporated into the overall service portfolio. Liz and her expanding team took a deliberate and methodical approach to developing each service, maintaining a steadfast commitment to exceptional client service.
Presently, Absolute Home Services stands as a leader in home improvement, repair, handyman, and maintenance services across Southern and Northern Ontario. The comprehensive range of services includes painting, landscaping, maintenance, and repair. What sets Absolute Home Services apart is its provision of dedicated Project Managers who ensure the fulfillment of clients' needs consistently and as promised, distinguishing the company in its commitment to excellence.

This was the 2nd occasion that we utilized the Absolute team for some landscaping work. Jason was excellent in assessing and reviewing what we had in mind and assisted in the final decisions for paving stones, retaining wall and plants. Jason was able to slot our work in shortly after finalizing the plan.
